Details of the Centre

The Unisys, Africa Centre of Excellence is located at the subsidiary Head Office in Sunninghill, Rivonia.

Our work at the center is twofold. Firstly it is equipped with the latest product offerings from Unisys and partners such as Cisco, EMC, Microsoft and StorageTek. Next, we make our laboratory resources, including technical experts, available to custom configure systems to exactly match our clients' requirements so they can "kick the tyres" before making a major purchase. Benchmarking reduces the risk with a new system by determining the right configuration for the application before purchase and installation.

Ultimately, however, the Centre of Excellence has a business logic approach with a data center methodology rather than a technology approach. The key lies in the provision and deployment of business solutions. Our clients use the center to verify the suitability and efficacy of their chosen solution, plan the actual deployment of the solution and then develop the expertise amongst their staff to do the final roll-out.
